Wedding Day Fireworks

If you want your wedding to begin or end with a bang, you can make that happen, literally. Fireworks launched at a crucial moment during the proceedings add energy to your wedding and will leave your guests with irreplaceable memories.

Fireworks Productions of Arizona began creating wedding displays about 11 years ago, “when many of the Hollywood stars had their own fireworks,” says Kendon Victor, pyro production manager. “It began to pique the interest of people wanting something fabulous and memorable.” 

A basic wedding display lasting three to five minutes starts at $1,500. Displays can be scaled up by increasing the time and number of fireworks; couples can also add more fireworks without increasing the time, to create a quick-tempo display with a high “boom” factor.

Victor can often take a couple’s wedding colors and work them into the opening volley of the display. FPA handles all permitting and liability concerns, and can use special “close-proximity” fireworks for displays on courtyards or rooftops.

Mary Vincent, a bride who used FPA for her wedding in Tucson, loved the display. “Our fireworks began at the ‘You may kiss the bride’ moment and continued for three minutes after that,” she says. The couple just celebrated their third wedding anniversary “and we still have people talk about our wedding,” she says. “The fireworks are the first thing they mention.”
