New Wedding Dress Shop: Wedding Belles Bridal Boutique
Ideas & Inspiration
Natalie Lester, owner of the new Wedding Belles Bridal Boutique in Gilbert, saw a double opportunity when she conceived the idea of a bridalwear boutique in her hometown. Not only was it a chance to work close to home, but she also got to explore the local market for bridal items in the southeast Valley of the Sun.
“I felt the need to work in the same town that I live,” she says. “In addition, I felt the current bridalwear market in Gilbert was wide-open for opportunity and success.”
Lester’s shop, which opened in August, focuses on delivering superior customer service, building relationships with customers and offering what she calls “fashion-forward and gorgeous dress selections” that are priced affordably.
“I don’t want to offer only a handful of dresses, but a whole store full of dresses that are reasonably priced, yet stunning and current,” she says.
So far, Lester is keeping up her end of the deal, with 90 percent of her bridal gowns priced under $2,700. Her initial designer offerings include the Wtoo line by Watters, Alvina Valenta by Jim Hjelm, Eden Bridals and Morilee by Madeline Gardner.
In addition to gowns, the store also carries bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride and flower girl attire, plus an assortment of shoes, jewelry, headpieces and veils. She’s partnered with a local jewelry designer to create customized bridal and bridesmaid jewelry and accessories. Oka B sandals are also a popular in-store item, coming in a wide variety of colors and styles, with all pairs 100 percent recyclable (seriously—mail ’em in once you’ve worn ’em out).
Lester says she’s already received a lot of positive feedback about Wedding Belles. “Women love the layout and the way I display my dresses and products. They’re saying the look and feel of the boutique is so unique, like a breath of fresh air.”
