New Heights
Ideas & Inspiration
{1} Nothing says “autumn” like the bounty of the fall season. This four-tiered cake with cascading marzipan fruit and a ceramic vase topper was created by Tim O’Connor of Honey Moon Sweets Bakery.
{2 & 5} Julia Baker’s name is now synonymous with chocolate decadence and we’re delighted that she’s extending that cocoa prowess to wedding cakes, too. Her signature chocolate petal cake takes chocolate—and wedding cakes—to new heights. Its deep dark chocolate petals surround a chocolate ganache cake and are stuffed with rose petals. Her pink fondant covered cake is accented with chocolate fall leaves.
{3} The glimmer of gold and natural Fall tones reflected in the handcrafted sugar tiles that surround this four-tiered cake by Jay Murphy of Kick Ass Kakes are a complement to the burgundy, gold and chartreuse orchids trailing along the cake’s four tiers.
{4} This three-tiered contemporary take on the classic black and white color scheme features sugar paste peonies on top and a hand-painted floral design by cake artist Andrea Carusetta-Blaut, owner of Sedona Cake Couture. Fortunately for Phoenix-metro brides, Andrea frequently travels from Sedona to deliver cakes Valleywide.
{6} This cake takes winter wonderland to new heights with barely blue shimmer buttercream frosting adorned with fondant swirls and snowflake accents. Designed by Maribelle Cakery & Patisserie in Tucson.
