Displayed here in two color schemes, this lush invitation by Kelly Ashworth Design evokes a formal English garden, made for true romantics who wanted everything about their wedding to reflect their love of love itself. Ashworth’s design also reflects the traditional look and feel of the entire wedding celebration, which took place at a historic country club. The green invite was tied with a pink dupioni silk ribbon; the pink ceremony program used the same ribbon in taupe. Bronze hues in the lettering accent the splendid pink roses that adorn the menu and escort card.

Wit and whimsy underscore the message in this couple’s “perfect pear” wedding theme. Inspired by her own wedding invites, designer Amy Foley, of Absolute Edge Design, used brown and green in harmony with the motif on paper with a metallic finish. The couple’s save-the-date card, printed on ecru micah paper with a bronze backing, slides out of a “wicked green” envelope lined in bronze.

Arizona’s Sonoran Desert provided a spectacular setting for a beautiful outdoor wedding. Designer Kelly Ashworth borrowed the natural palette of deep browns and earthy greens for the couple’s invitations, marrying them with graphic elements that complemented the venue’s Tuscan-inspired architecture.

Red, the color of love, was the inspiration for this design, set off with a patterned black-and-white background. The couple had already married in Hawaii, so designer Rene Showalter, of Celebrations in Paper, created a delicate orchid arrangement with hand-calligraphy on metallic paper for these reception invites. The accordion fold serves the card’s dual purpose: Its first panel announces the marriage, and the second invites guests to the reception to be held in the couple’s hometown. The final panel features a paisley “wrap band” to hold the reply card, envelope, and any additional pieces.

For a destination wedding in Sedona, the bride wanted something unique but as timeless as her parents’ wedding invitation. Defining her style as “rustic elegance,” designer Kelsey Murrietta, of Flossy Stylish Design, created an elegant look with hand-painted paper from India and a black satin ribbon, and added a rustic touch by enclosing all the pieces in a sinamay envelope. Rendering the design in simple black and ivory for a traditional feel, the invite was calligraphed on a heavy cotton paper. Inserts included a directions card, ceremony card and an RSVP postcard tucked behind the invitation.
