Luscious jewel tones will elicit oohs and ahhs from your guests.

Bride Lindsay Lawson chose to weave formal elegance into her reception. “I wanted [my reception] to be really elegant with splashes of color,” Lawson said. “I knew I wanted black for the bridesmaids and I loved the way fuschia looked next to black.” Amy Mancuso, her wedding consultant, listened to her client’s likes and dislikes, and mixed and matched a variety of colors and textures until Lawson settled on black lamour table linens with silver floral lace overlays; black chair covers with fuchsia lamour ties; and white plates adorned with bright pink linens and fuchsia gerbera daisies with velvety black centers.

“I knew that I wanted tall centerpieces so that guests could see across the table,” Lawson said. “I liked gorgeous, flowing and dangling flowers.” To create the kind of centerpieces Lawson described, Mancuso used silver candelabras with orchids, roses, gerbera daisies and trailing ivy for a colorful combination of hot pinks, soft pinks and lime green. Finishing the tablescape were the couple’s favors—half-bottles of blush wine—adorned with hand-made labels of layered black, fuchsia and white cardstock created by Debra Startup of the invitation boutique Definitely Debra.
