It was actually Sara Stafford and Chris Lange’s mixed-breed pup, Hamlin, who did the question-popping for Chris—the dog presented Sara with an engagement ring on his collar for Sara’s birthday. So naturally, he played a starring role in the couple’s fall nuptials. Not only did Hamlin’s hand-painted profile appear on the invitations, but he also held court at the end of the aisle at the couple’s vineyard wedding. A cozy crowd of just 26 dined under the stars on braised short ribs and cilantro-whipped potatoes, paired with the venue’s vintages, of course. Sara put her touch on the event by arranging the flowers herself and composing the iPod playlist that set the evening’s mood.
