What type of entertainment options do you offer?
The Sonoran Serenade Big Band provides an elegant, sophisticated musical experience that appeals to every age group. Our band is patterned after the great big bands of Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, etc. The visual impression is stylish and dramatic and, together with the high quality of our musical performance, creates memories that truly last a lifetime. Our repertoire encompasses the most popular dance music from every era and can be tailored to the needs and desires of each bride and groom. We play music from Sinatra to Elvis to The Beatles and Michael Buble …..and everything in between ….and we take special requests.
How many people do you send out on location? Are they all employed through your company?
Our band consists of 20 talented and experienced musicians which includes 17 instrumentalists, male and female vocalists, and a full time Director. Many of our band members have performed with nationally prominent entertainers and organizations. Additional support staff are utilized as required for each venue. We plan each event carefully and we are extremely timely, professional, and efficient in our setup process.
What type of attire is worn?
Whether the setting is relatively casual, black tie formal, or anything in between, our appearance is professional and contributes to the overall dramatic visual impact of our band. Our basic attire is white long sleeve dress shirts and black trousers, which can be complimented by gold tone neckwear and black sport coats as appropriate to each event. On request, our Director and vocalists wear formal attire at no additional cost.
What are your costs for the services provided?
Rates vary with performance duration, calendar dates / season, and the special requirements of certain venues. Quotes are available on request from the band manager.
Is there a list of songs to choose from? Do you take requests?
Our repertoire is extensive and currently includes approximately 400 songs. We work closely with the bride and groom to develop a musical program that is well suited to their preferences. With sufficient advance notice, we will incorporate up to 3 “special songs” chosen by the bride and groom, even if they are not in our current repertoire.
Is there a way to see what different styles of interaction you offer?

A complete information package, including photos of the band and a demo disk with examples of our music and additional photos of the band is available on request at no cost. Client satisfaction is our #1 goal, and references can be provided on request.
Do your fees include background music during dinner?
We work closely with the bride and groom to ensure that our music is appropriate to the flow of the entire event. Song selection, tempos and sound volume are carefully planned so that the cocktail hour, dinner service, and dancing are accommodated properly in the musical program. We play have the flexibility to utilize our full band, small ensemble / solists, and recorded music during breaks as required.
Do you have a cordless microphone available for use during speeches?
A cordless microphone can be provided for speeches and announcements at no additional cost.
